Since you’ve last heard from me, I’ve entertained relatives from Arizona…my mother’s sister, her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. I’ve gotten poison ivy from climbing down a creek bank to pull out a big limb, and I have two black eyes from target practicing with my sister-in-law. (forgot about a little thing called recoil) My aunt and I went to Natchitoches to visit
our cousin Jackie and her husband Woodrow. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together. They drove us around town showing us four of the houses
that Mamaw and Papaw Simmons had lived in, and the two churches that Papaw had pastored. And, by the way, he had baptized Woodrow at one of them when Woodrow was nine.
Spring was at its peak that day in Natchtioches
and azaleas in almost every yard.
And, amongst all that went on last week
Joel brought home two rabbits after
I had come home with five ducks.
All I have left to say is…ee-i-ee-i-o.
What are the little pompoms on the heads of the ducks? Both bunnies and ducks are precious.
How is the guinnie hen doing with all the domesticated additions? 🙂
guinea, sorry too late for spell check! 🙂
